The Carnival of Love Foundation and The Icla da Silva Foundation hosted a Bone Marrow Drive at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity at 319 East 74th Street, NYC in early Spring of 2010.

A portion of the proceeds raised at The Carnival of Love Foundation Fundraiser on Friday, March 19, 2010 were donated to The Icla da Silva Foundation through the Be the Match Foundation(sm) to fund a portion of our bone marrow drive. These funds enabled the DNA testing of new donors and admitted them into the Be the Match Registry.

The Carnival of Love Foundation is committed to sharing, light, love and hope with those who need it most. We have teamed up with the Be the Match Foundation to host a bone marrow drive that can potentially increase the chances of survival for children in need of a bone marrow or umbilical cord transplant by assisting them with finding matches. The amount of new donors admitted into the Be the Match Registry, equals the amount of possible lives saved. 10 new donors = 10 possible transplants, 50 new donors = 50 possible lives saved.

We strive to create hope and possibilites were there were little or none before.
